A Fit Mind And A Healthy Body Make Party Time a Lifelong Experience

aSparkly Sun, Rhinestone Shoes, and Far Far Away Blues

There are the little things in life that can just make you happy.  They tend to put a smile on your face from time to time and eventually they infect your dreams.  It's very easy to lose oneself in a sunny day or in a festive family affair.  I have a tendency to hold onto the "old" like my snakeskin cowboy boots, while my wife -the more festive of the two of us I will admit- has a passion for bling converse sneakers. It seems no matter how young or how old there it always comes back the bright and shiny things that bring the most joy to the party.

I'm an old school kind of guy

I was of the mindset when I started this blog that it was going to involve some deep thought. I thought I'd take a different turn and lighten it up a bit.

 Of Celts and Cowboys

So here I am taking a moment to jot down a few thoughts.  The wife and I attended the wedding of one of her old friends recently. It was a Celtic Handfasting and may I say it was quite a good time!

Being more of an 'old school' traditionalist, and basically as my daughter would say 'old' (thanks Jeanie) I went with my wedding boots!  The event was held in Texas and it was quite a difference from what the normal Texan festivities would have been like. So I thought I'd bring a little of the local to the party.

My wife on the other hand had a chance to wear her wedding shoes that she had worn as a member of bridal party some years back. A bit to flashy for me, but my bride can make anything look good and who am I to complain when I have her on my arm.

When all was said and done the one thing that didn't hurt was our feet.

The hangover was well worth it.

Until next time.
